The Trxcom TQ-BL859140-SRC 40GBASE SWDM4 Bi-Directional QSFP+Transceiver enables 40G Ethernet transmission over duplex multimode fiber (MMF), allowing reuse of existing LC fiber infrastructure without additional cabling. It uses SWDM4 technology to transmit 40G signals over four wavelengths (850nm, 880nm, 910nm, and 940nm) through a single duplex LC interface, eliminating the need for parallel fiber links and significantly reducing cabling complexity and deployment cost. The module supports transmission distances of up to 300m on OM3, 400m on OM4, and 500m on OM5 laser-optimized multimode fiber, providing a smooth migration path from 10G to 40G while preserving existing fiber infrastructure investments. It supports Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM) for real-time diagnostics and complies with QSFP+ MSA and IEEE 802.3ba standards.
Ideal deployment scenarios include fiber-constrained data centers, high-density spine-leaf architectures, campus network upgrades, and environments that require extended multimode reach without migrating to single-mode fiber.
Note: This module uses 4-channel SWDM4 technology (850/880/910/940nm) and is not interoperable with traditional BiDi/SRBD modules (850/900nm). Both ends of the link must use SWDM4 transceivers.
